Booby's on the bow! Fun to watch them soar & dive!

Bienvenue, a Frenchie Welcome,
The sail from St Lucia to St Anne, Martinique was lively with winds gusting to 30kts and seas 7' to 10'. One of my enjoyable activities under way is to watch the Booby's soar in front of the boat. They track back and forth watching for flying fish to catch. As the boat crashes into the waves it will kick up schools of fish into flight and the birds dive after them.
This is obviously a learned hunting technique for them. If the water is a little unsettled here they come and will follow the boat for hours. They seem to miss about 9 out of 10 tries. The fish will often just hit a wave and skip off of it to another or veer off right when they do dive in the water. Sometimes the birds are right back in flight for another try but other times they just take a little break, collect their thoughts (I'm guessing lol) before trying again.
Cheers from St Anne's
