Serrurier Island
30 July 2007
The weather was perfect for motoring, not for sailing, but with a clear blue sky and flat seas we motored for 10 hours before the breeze finally arrived and we sailed the final 4 hours to Serrurier Island. During the 135 nm we saw so many whales we lost count, turtles galore and even a few oversized sea snakes. We anchored just off the beach in clear water, as soon as the pick was down we where in the water. That evening we had a BBQ on Sea Urchin with a few quiet beers before an early night. Tomorrow we go exploring the island.
