New Adventure Pending

17 February 2008 | Glades Boat Storage, Moorehaven, FL
Glenn.
We are just beginning to see light peak over the horizon, the day beginning to dawn...the day of our new adventure. Within the next few weeks, we will be leaving our (soon to be former) home in the frozen north & head south to Florida.

We plan to spend the first few months refitting Seawing in west Florida. We've been aboard for an extended period before and now have a list of desired updates, repairs and changes to make life more comfortable afloat.

After refitting, we plan to spend the summer (read: 'hurricane season') in the Bahamas and then begin the trip south along the thorny path to windward. We don't have a firm idea of how far we will go, but would like to be in Trinidad for the 2009 hurricane season.

Come back and read, we will be posting updates as we begin the trek south.

Glenn.

Q: Why "Seawing"? A: "If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me." (Psalms 139:9-10)
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead." (Acts 17:30-31)
