Today we rode the transit service to Caseville. Unfortunately, the Cheeseburger Festival goes from the 9th to the 18th. The town does offer a number of small shops and boutiques—even the small town diner where we had breakfast. Retail stores were preparing for the arrival of the “parrot heads” to fill Main St and consume their fill of cheeseburgers offered by local eateries and vendors.
Tomorrow we will cross Saginaw Bay with a 28 mile route for our two night stay in East Tawas, a popular destination for mariners and campers. We will be sharing time with Cathy’s sister, Anne, and husband, Steve, that will be camping locally. Time for a bonfire and s’mores!
