Today was the first day to sleep in and not be on a time schedule to travel. A parade of decorated dinghies went though the marina waterways with participants waving flags and playing patriotic songs. To celebrate my birthday we took the courtesy shuttle from the marina to the beach side of the park to enjoy a tropical drink and a walk on the beach. It’s amazing the height of these rides, able to be seen as landmarks while approaching from the lake routes.
We later walked the marina docks and found our prior boat, the Mainship 34 Trawler, which now claims her new home here in Sandusky, Ohio at the Cedar Point Marina.
Tomorrow will be a pool day with evening fireworks. Our view from the bridge of the boat should be the perfect spot.
