A favorite place
27 December 2013 | West of Ponce de Leon inlet, FL
We spent the night in one of our favorite anchorages, Rockhouse Creek, just west of Ponce deLeon inlet.
When facing northeast, you are far enough to see, only the natural landscape, (except the northern jetty at the inlet), which waves crash over, as clear as day, lightened by the evening sun. As the sun sets, the intermittent light from the lighthouse makes it's nightly appearance. You can hear the waves crash, and smell the salt air. We have an island between Spree and the ocean, close enough to swim to, appearing and disappearing with the tide. We move with current, not wind here. Plenty of dolphin around to delight!
Leaving our cozy spot at sunrise.
