Leaving the Puget Sound area in June, 1999, s/v 'Secret O' Life' moved south along the California coast and joined the Baja Ha-Ha fleet in November, arriving in Cabo San Lucas and then visiting La Paz, before crossing the Sea of Cortez to arrive on the mainland coast near San Blas, Nayarit. Venturing south as far as Manzanillo, Colima, I prepared for a single-handed passage to Hawaii in May, 2000. After visiting five of the islands and seeing my daughter married on a beach on Kauai, I set off for the return trip to San Francisco and once more followed the coast to Mexico for a second winter.

I plan at least one more year - 2002 - along the coast of Mexico, then heading further south, perhaps as far as Equador, before turning west.
