39 36.19N/ 72 04.82W July 2, 2008 6:00pm 89nm South of Montauk Pt, NY Today has been the kind of day that sells sailboats. We have sailed all day in good and better wind conditions and damn near perfect overall conditions. It looks like an eggplant evening (dinner) with breakfast at Montauk as we move towards Plum Gut and the Sound. If all things go well we should be in Port Jeff in the late afternoon or early evening tomorrow. We are all looking forward to a good sail down the Sound and landfall at our home port. NY radio traffic is now prevalent along with a Coast Guard cutter and some private and commercial vessels. We are transiting Hudson Canyon with our hooks in the water but no bites yet. There's still time!
