DavidEllis is "on-the-hard", which in boating terms means that she is out of the water; and will be there until next spring. We'll be doing work pretty much all over the boat; nothing really major, just maintenance, small repairs, some alterations and improvements which I'll document as we go. We're holding back right now on getting into projects which are going to take any significant bucks, as we're waiting to see what the cost of the bottom work will be - blisters, zincs, bottom-paint, maybe replace the cutlass bearing (and if we do replace the cutlass bearing, requiring pulling the prop shaft, then I'll likely take the thrust bearing mounting apart, to see how things are holding up there).

Our friend Dennis will be in town next week, and I'm looking forward to having him go over the more difficult (at least to me) jobs I'm thinking about. I find that Dennis frequently sees a much simpler way to approach the tasks which I'm thinking are going to be very difficult to do.

Tjasa and Aiden from Hong Kong, will also be coming into town and we're looking forward to showing them around Seattle a bit before driving south to Sonoma County with them. It will be great to spend some fun time with them. We're going to stay down in Sebastopol for a couple of weeks after T & A head home, and we'll get the chance to catch up with family, friends, doctors and dentists.
