Breaking News

31 March 2013
Hong Kong SAR, 1 April 2013

Breaking news... Captain David Morgan has announced a change in the intended route of MV Shearwater. Rather than east-about, Cap'n Morgan has declared "bugger the Somali pirates!" and selected a new west-about route back to the USA -- Hong Kong > Singapore > Straits of Malacca > Lankawi > Sri Lanka > Maldives > Gulf of Aiden > Red Sea > Suez > Mediterranean > Gibralter and Atlantic to home port the remainder of the year in Montauk, NY. According to the famous sea captain, the east-about route "is for pussies" and going west-about will present several opportunities to "send some blasted pirates to Davy Jones' locker". Cap'n Morgan is making the rounds of various Hong Kong based consulates -- among them, Nauru, Tavalu and Lichtenstein -- seeking letters of marque. The embassy of Freedonia has expressed interest in Cap'n Morgan's request.
