Spent the night in a cove waiting for the tide. Awoke at 3 a.m. to reach the passage just at the top of the flood. It is like Deception pass in current velocity but is 39 miles long! We hit it perfectly, in part thanks to Dorothy N's internet research to get proper tide tables. The current was slack for a moment and is now sweeping us along at 8 + knots. We are now in a lazy part of the passage and will be in the ocean 3+ hours. All happy on board. Don't tell anyone but the spam supplies have been breached for fried spam which is medically indicated to replenish sodium levels which are threatened by light perspiration we manly types are experiencing. Next post will be from big blue. We are considering dropping a bottle into the Mariana Trench with our names, date, and the boat name inscribed by dremmel tool. Kilroy was here!
