location at 1200 UTC N 5deg 28.7' E 141deg 56.1' COG 090deg T , SOG 6.0kts
estimated location 24hrs N 5deg 30', E 144deg 10.9'

Wind in the past 12 hrs, primarily out of East, have increased to 14-17 kts, gusting into 20s
Seas earlier, I was able to identify at least 3 swells -- NE, E and SE -- but with the seas/chop associated with the headwind of the last 6 hrs,
they are no longer individually discernible
Baro currently 29.74; in the last 12hrs it has fluctuated 29.68 - 29.77, again (as last 24 a little drop)
Cloud cover more much of the past 12hrs was 40% with open areas ahead, and SE-SE of us; but by local sunset, coverage is 100%

when can we get some more of what we had earlier today?

well it was a nice run today, but all good things... a head wind has come up this evening, kicking up seas as well, so our lovely motion of this morning and today
is gone for now. we're reduced in speed as well to 6.0 - 6.1kts. We did break the 1000 nautical miles to Pohnpei mark!

Capt. David made sushi for dinner, out of the tuna caught last evening; a very fine meal. We turned on the red pilothouse rope lights in festive celebration.

We will experience two time zone changes in this passage between Palau and Pohnpei; at E 142.5deg and again at E 157.5 deg. We had another back at
E 127.5deg between the Philippine Islands and Palau.. There will be another just beyond Majuro (Marshall Islands), our last stop before Hawaii, at E 172.5deg.
Then at 180deg, halfway around the world from Greenwich, England (home of UTC), the ZD or Zone Description with switch from -12 to +12 and one more time
zone change later at W 172.5deg, we'll be in Hawaii.

Also -- you heard it here first -- I've been doing some calculating, and assuming no major boat issues, I'm predicting our arrival in Hawaii for 25 or 26 June.
I've used a slightly optimistic 6 knot average -- just slightly optimistic, not irresponsibly exuberant -- and I may have to eat that, but I was influenced by
the beautiful run we had all day today.
