each of the past 3 days has seen increased SOG; at the moment sustained mid 6kts. Absent some major negative change
we should get into Honolulu early-mid day Saturday.

sleeping only in naps between watches, constantly bounced about while trying to sleep over a period of weeks, leads to strange dreams and states of consciousness
where it is not entirely clear what is dream and what is reality. Most recently I dreamed that I had actually died earlier in this trip, and that every since then was just a
fabrication of my fading consciousness, denying the reality of death and struggling to get home... There's still a residue of this hanging about in my head.

Weirdness aside, everything is going beautifully considering the bouncy transit in confused seas. I'm speculating, maybe just wishful thinking, that as we get a bit
closer to the Hawaiian Island chain, we'll get into a lee from the prevailing wind swell. Not from the wind so much, because it will go up, over and back down onto the sea surface, but the effects of the wind should be / could be mitigated by the decreased fetch over which they have to work. We'll see...
