I sent a position message thru "Relay Rick" as the computer and sat phone were not talking; won't know til I try to send this if they've make up and are talking to each other again.

Current Position: 37deg 58.20' N 142deg 14.41' E, COG 018 T, SOG 6.7kts
Wind: has shifted out of NNE (all day yesterday) to SE less than 5 kts; small 1' seas out of SE also over less than 1m swells coming out of NNE. Cloud cover 100% this morning, altocumulus

315nm to Kushiro; at 6.5kt average, we will arrive there morning 20th (local time), basically 50hrs from now.

We've come 20 degrees north in lattitude, from Hong Kong to present location 22deg to 42deg N -- on the North America West Coast, that's Cabo San Lucas at the tip of Baja all the way north to the CA / ORE border north of Crescent City. On the East coast of North America, that's Havana Cuba to Boston MA. I've gone from wearing undershorts -- you knew my secret identity was Capt Underpants, right? -- and a sleeveless runners top to flannel pajama bottoms and fleece sweater. From sweating so much all day everyday, that I was chugging a liter of water an hour to now, when I have to remind myself to drink a couple of pints a day to avoid getting constipated. From dreading 120deg F engine room checks, to looking forward to balmy 105deg ER vacations from the pilothouse chill. When I came up to the pilot house just now, I found Craig fully dressed with fleece vest! First time since the flight from SFO.
