One of the last things we visited in Darwin was the War Museum. I really wanted to visit this museum--Sherry went along to be nice. The Northern Terrietory was the only Australian area attacked by the Japanese in World War II. And they made a movie about the attack called 'Australia'--although they did stretch the truth. In all, there were over 200 sightings and or bombing raids against Australiama by the Japanese in the war. Many Darwinites died in the bombings and the U.S. warship Pirry was sunk by the Japanese in Darwin harbor.
