Santa Marta was new and old--a very interesting city. We were amazed to see a few cruise ships dock here in Santa Marta. We had not heard of the city until our friends Kim and Sharon stayed here on their way to Panama. It is a good place to leave your boat when you visit Cartagena as the marina is new and security is very good.
