With the Easter holidays over, Jávea has returned to its more sedate winter state although the beach front bars and restaurants remain open ready for the springtime onslaught. Of course, they’d be doing much more business if only the weather would settle into something more like what is expected for April. The temperature has dropped again and, despite the clocks going forward, we have yet to linger in the old town’s tapas bars of an evening.

We’ve changed to a new apartment for these final couple of weeks of our stay. Lighter and more airy than the previous one, it does, however, have the disadvantage of losing the sun off the balcony by 3pm and no dishwasher (Neil’s hands are suffering). And the internet doesn’t work. So apologies to anyone emailing, tweeting or replying to posts on the YBW forum, we’re now ‘forced’ to sit in a bar once a day to keep up to date. And suddenly we have a lot more time on our hands.
