Apologies to all our readers We are behind the wave with the blog entires we shall now try to make amends.

I thought it about time we paid tribute to the two unsung hereos of the passage so far Jan Mar who i believe is Swedish, and Charley Farley who despite his protestions is clearly Britsh. His stiff upper lip and unwavering attentoin to detail gives the game away. SOP for Charley is to respond to a request for assistance, which he went to great lenghths to stress is never refused. having recieved the OK from Charley that he is with the game plan the crew then clears off and leaves Charley all by himself to guide the ship whilst we make cup of tea - coffee, update the log - blog, have dinner - have a cocktail All this with out so much as a hello , goodbye, please or thank you. Charley is always in direct communicatiion with the satellites speeding though cyberspace. Charley then interprets the data sent from above and makes the necessary changes to maintain our heading in less time than it takes to blinnk Charley was lost at sea for a while last week and required attention from the YMC to brng him back on to the straight and narrow. But he is now fully functional and a dependable as ever. Before dashing off to respond to respond to another crew request he did ask that we make sure he is on next year guest list for the Fancy dress party. Charley Farley is our name for the self steering gear

Jan is no doubt, after the YMC, the most important member of the crew. Jan has control over and is responsbile for all power systems; navigation equipment, lights, water pumps, anchor windlass, and back up propulsion systems. etc etc the list goes on and on Fitting his position he has a private room, albeit it windowless and dark ,but it is the ony heated room on the boat. He has unlimited supplies of all manner of fluids for cooling down, the necessary oils to prmoote a healthy existence both insdie and out . After minor surgery last Thursday when we repaired his internal plumbing, he his back to operational fitness and ready for action which we anticpate will be later this week

Pictures of Jan and Charley's will follow.
