Major Attractions: This mainly fishing town on the North of Iki Island, offers a rest stop for those journeying between Kyushu and Pusan in South Korea but doesn't have many attractions. Free samples of local brew at Iki Shochu Brewery.
Nearest Port of Entry: Fukuoka or Tsushima City (Izuhara)
Formalities Arrival: Prior permission should have been sought from the Ministry of Lands to enter the harbor. On arrival call Coast Guard on VHF16. This is a closed port.

Customs: On arrival call Coast Guard on VHF16. It is unlikely that you'll get a reply.

Berthing Mooring Options: Tie up is med moor in the fishing harbour, or side tie to the disused dry dock. Beware as the harbour is quite shallow going down to 7ft (2m) in places.
Anchorage Options: None. This is a busy harbour.

Haulout Facilities: Unknown, although there is a dry dock!!

Water: Unknown. Could be available at the ferry terminal if one can tie up between arrivals.
Fuel: Can be ordered by minitanker from the station on the main road near Ashibecho Hakozakinakayamafure.
LPG: Available, however, non Japanese tanks are difficult to refill due to Government safety regulations. Ocassionally, some gas resellers will fill your tank, especially if it is a small family owned establishment.

ATMs: As always the most efficient way to get money from your overseas account in Japan is through the Post Office system of ATMs. There is a Japan Post office in Yahataura.
