Breaking in a new old boat.

Arrived

02 November 2010 | Deltaville Boatyard
Well its November 1 and we've made it back to Rum Line II. It feels like we just left. The weather is on the cool side 60 to 65 and 50's at night. We were thinking about last year and brought a heater with us this time. We will be on the hard for a week yet, so there is no heat as the reverse air system requires water to run, " no workey until boat in water".
This year we are without a car and already we are missing it. Some friends are flying down from Toronto, Blair and Laurie (sv/ Odissea XX), and need a ride from Richmond airport to Deltaville. The downside about here is no transportation available to the airport. We will rent a car and pick them up. We have to pick up anti fowling paint from West Marine and an Antenna for the AIS system so everything can be done on one rental.
Today was spent unpacking solar panels and radar stand. Darius was kind enough to put my order, from UPS, which had come in a few days ago in his van. He said it was just at the parts counter out in the open and one of the boxes was torn open. Thank goodness he was here. Now we had to make sure all the parts were shipped and of coarse we were missing a bracket for the radar pole. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they can ship me one overnight.
Well its 8.15pm and its time for a nap, we have to leave here by 9am to get the rental car.
