21st Jan: up to Sandringham with a following breeze, and dropped anchor off the yacht club at 3:30. Beth and the twins came down to the beach cafe for coffee. It was good to see Beth and to catch up with the twins and Chester.�On and Beth�were arranging to split their domestic life between the renovated bungalow in Hampton and�a nursing home in Bendigo..but that's their story...Looking around for fun in Phillip Bay, we found we were too late to enter the Melbourne to Geelong race, but we raised a crew and tagged along anyway. We motored up to St Kilda early on Sat and Will manoeuvred us adroitly in to the pier where Col, the Cross family and Janice came on board. After a fairly ordinary start we caught the excitement and�overtook several boats under�Col's intense piloting. Flying the boat down the long channel into Geelong was exhilarating. One day tied up with the other multi's on the outside of the wharf at Geelong was enough
