We are back..... ! After finally understanding the river levels and how they pertain to mast height we left Demopolis. at 5:40 AM. Lots of debris Lots of water and hit the hay at 8 PM .Traveling is tiring. Next morning up at 7 and on the way to the Coffeeville Lock. Arrived at the lock and had a 20 minute wait. Turns out there was a greeting committee. A little alligator (see pic.)
Reasonably early day ...3:30 arrival to Three Rivers Lake now mile 63.8.
Left Three Rivers at 7:00 AM arrived at Mobile at 3:30 , not before hitting a piece of Deadwood floating in the bay. No Damage. Turners Marine turned out to be home for a week. The week started out pretty slow and mellow... with plans to go to New Orleans on the Sunday morning (by car)..... but that's another story.
