After having arrived in Mobile it was decided that we (the crew of Perewinkle ll and Twice as Nice) rent a van from enterprise and drive to New Orleans. At the same time, Hurricane Ida was bearing down to the NW having an expected landfall in Louisiana, but not for a few days and would be reduced to a tropical storm. Off we went to New Orleans. Visited the Garden district and took the trolley ride to the end of the green line. Returned to the hotel , next to Canal Street bordering the French Quarter. For the evening had supper at Bourbons of course on Bourbon street. Jovial atmoshere on the streets due to the saints winning against N.C.
Tired we returned to the room early and watched the newsEXTRA EXTRA, tropical storm to hit Mobile AL. Next Morning , it was decided to return to Mobile.... that's another story.
