Met up with Alex & Sharon and Ian & Donna Cross yesterday and had a great day on the water. The guys had the use of a Tiara 34 motor cruiser. Headed south along the IntraCoastal Waterway. The proliference of mansions and mega yachts was amazing. Doesn't seem to be any shortage of cash in these parts, but there were more "For Sale" signs than usual. (Wonder why!!) Stopped south of Fort Lauderale at a little creek with its own lovely beach and just a minutes walk over the knoll was the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful beach, but the waves were so big that even Alex was almost knocked over a couple of times.

Then we carried on to Hollywood and tied up at "Le Tub" for hamburgers, really big hamburgers, like $12 worth between two buns!! This place has been recommended by Oprah W. on her TV show. It was rather a quaint place, totally built from flotsam and jetsom collected over the years by the owner. There were old toilets everywhere (not operable) with plants and even small palm trees growing out of them. We were back at the boat owners condo dock by 1800 hrs. Had planned to go out for dinner in the evening, but after Le Tub, nobody had any room for more grub.
