Around 1600, the animals' feed time I took Hunter on another Coco search. I got chatting to a lady from dock C and told her we were searching for Coco De Mer. She had a key to that dock so we went in. Hunter had tried to take me there several times but even tho' i waited at the gate there was no one coming or going. We didn't go far, rattling Coco's food dish and calling his name when a terrible yowling came from the boat we passed by. Sure enough, inside was Coco scratching at the Plexiglas hatch board trying to get out. The lady I was with knew the boat's owner, who of course wasn't there, so she opened the hatch and extracted the very frightened and frustrated cat. He had climbed in but was unable to get back out again. I doubt he has learned his lesson tho'. At dusk he was looking longingly down the walkway towards the birds, and twice made a dash to the boat gate. We watch him every moment and are suffering from heat in here with hatches almost closed. Safer for all of us to be at anchor.
We will leave in the morning with Coco De Mer. John and Ginni
