Baja Haha Update...
Due to the presence of Hurricane Vance way south of us (which our weather gurus and every sailor has been monitoring closely since it was a tropical depression), the inherently unpredictable nature of storm tracks, and the possibility of rough sailing conditions in the area between the storm's low pressure and a nearby high pressure, the Baja Haha fleet will be holding in Turtle Bay for at least another day.
While no one expects the storm to come through here, the Grand Poobah has made the conservative decision to stay here rather than venturing south right now.
Turtle Bay is a good place to hold: the bay is nearly surrounded by land, the holding is good, there is plenty of room for all the boats, and there's plenty to do nearby. If you're going to be stuck someplace, Turtle Bay is the place to do it.
I'll update everyone if anything changes. For now, Se?n is making breakfast, we are waiting for the 8 am radio check-in, and we will refloat our dinghy (so much for being ready to leave early this morning!) and head into town to buy some fresh eggs and cilantro, and basically enjoy the day.
Adi?s por ahora!
