24 April 2018 | Town Basin Marina, Whangarei, NZ
After four months in the States, two flights totaling 15 hours, and a 3-hour bus ride, Eric and I are back in Whangarei, NZ, back home aboard SCOOTS.
During our time away, we had some wonderful times with our family and friends, and some less-than-wonderful (though necessary) times with doctors and nurses. (It wasn't their fault.)
Eric is all healthy now, and good-as-new. I'm the same as I was when we left, which, in the scheme of things, is just fine with me.)
Thank you again to everyone who made our stay in the States such a pleasure! Thank you for making time for us in your busy schedules, for making space for us in your homes, and for making us smile. We loved our time with you.
Back on SCOOTS, we've already had the pleasure of reuniting with our NZ-based friends, and have begun the work needed to get SCOOTS and ourselves ready to sail north to Fiji sometime in the next month or two.
Until next time...
