We had an interesting trip from St. Michaels as we took the Popular Island Narrows after leaving Eastern Bay. We were concerned about depth at the southern end, but we transited at near high tide and had no less than 9 feet of water. We decided at that point to head for Solomons rather than going through Knapps Narrows again and anchoring in Dun Cove. Of course, when we got out into the bay and the waves and winds picked up (with a forecast small craft warning for 4PM), we decided to divert to the Little Choptank area, settling on Fishing Creek.
