Day to Day Stuff, Eh?

11 November 2014 | Woburn, Grenada
Lynn
After the last blog, a comment came up to encourage me to write about more of the day-to-day stuff... The kind of thing that I thought people get bored of! Well, reading or skipping is an option, after all!
We don't get all that bored. There are always boat jobs and projects to do and think about. This also gives our brains some work as lateral thinking is useful when trying to develop something for the boat. Our led work light was one example (I think that was a Facebook post, I need to share that here....), and trying to think of how to make our boat even better is an ongoing thought process. We also have a lot of ebooks, and Scrabble on the tablet keeps my brain happy. And of course discussions with others. Plus we are frequently asked to help trouble shoot other people's problems.
And thinking of, and writing, blogs. And my ongoing bit in "Caribbean Compass". If I'm bored, then something isn't getting done...
And my morning runs, afternoon workouts and or swims...
Ken works on the boat.
Bored? Nope!
Plus, of course, shopping, entertaining, social things...

Let me see, a "typical" day goes like this...and I'll do a typical day during hurricane season while we are in Grenada:
Sun's up, Lynn's off for a run, which is a time commitment from an hour or two. On the morning I do the net, the run is much shorter.
Coffee, breakfast, some internet, dishes and get the brain together. Maybe some writing. Shopping day? Get the stuff together (knapsack, cooler bag, extra shopping bags) and catch the cruiser bus or the regular bus. If I'm going by bicycle, just the knapsack.
Not shopping? What do we want to accomplish today? Or do we need to get into town for something?
Lunch, often preceded by a trip to Whisper Cove Marina for their excellent bread, still warm from the oven.
Siesta. It is too hot to work. I might sneak a long swim in here. Maybe get some writing in.
Try to finish the project, or get the boat back into a semblance of order by about 4:30.
5:00-ish, have a nice drink and a snack (alcohol optional), and think about preparing dinner.
Dinner.
Read, watch a movie or some episodes of "Distant Shores", maybe write or play games on the tablet.
Often in bed by 9:30.

And when we are in cruising mode, that changes a bit!

Genia, I'll get to the other part next!

And typing on a tablet is not as convenient for me as a computer, yet.
