Plumbing the Depths of the Galley

07 October 2015 | Woburn, Grenada
Lynn
When you suddenly blow through about 160 liters of water in a couple of days, and notice the bilge pump running at uncharacteristic intervals, something must be up. Ken's immediate thought was the freshwater foot pump in the galley, as we have had to replace it before.

Sure enough, a hand against the guts of the pump came away wet. Ken dug out the spare parts while I excavated the work area.

An hour of boat yoga and some cursing and we are good to go again (nothing is ever easy on a boat, after all). And we even got some rain, so we can open the deck fills and replenish some of our lost water supply.

And finished just in time to go into town for an afternoon appointment!
