Chamela Bay 2

19 February 2011 | Chamela Bay
Connie
We decided to stay a day in this lovely bay. We went ashore and took a long walk on the beach, then stopped in a palapa restaurant for lunch. A shrimp quesadilla with rice and vegetables and a Corona cost me $3.00! We came back to the boat and went for a swim and Ed cleaned the bottom. The water is not real warm yet, about as warm as the ocean gets back in Newport in August. The birds are well fed here because there are lots of small fish in this bay. They are constantly jumping and splashing and the Pelicans, Boobies, and Frigates are diving after them all day. We leave in the morning for the next anchorage down the coast.
