Back in Barra Navidad

14 December 2009
We have now returned to Grand Bay Marina in Barra Navidad. The mayor of G-dock, Billy, welcomed us back "home". We are back in our slip G-19. It does feel like home here. Lee was re-appointed his title of deputy mayor of G-dock. More boats have come into the marina today. We met a couple from San Francisco who own a Swan 44. She went to Oroville High School, which is about 20 miles from Chico. We continue to be amazed how small the sailing world really is.

We all went into town to get haircuts at Margarita's Salon. All haircuts are 50 pesos, no matter what. We figure they made money on Lee but lost on Cathy :0.

Tonight we plan to go to Pipers where there is supposed to be a great rock band from Colima. This is the restaurant that Steve Link supposedly has an interest in. Everyone around here seems to know Steve. Maybe we will run into him.
