San Jose Del Cabo

09 November 2010
We left the condo on Sunday and returned to the boat at the marina in San Jose Del Cabo. It's a much slower pace in San Jose. We are fortunate in that we have a credit from the marina for 21 days. Les and John had parked the boat here last January and bought a month slip rental thinking the storms would take a while to clear out. It turned out to only take 9 days so the marina gave us a credit. And they were very nice in letting us give a couple of days of our credit to Mike on So Inclined. Mike brought his boat over on Sunday.

We washed down the boat, fixed a couple of minor problems and did a little provisioning. Several boats from the Ha-Ha are arriving and everyone is swapping war stories. Everyone seems to agree that San Jose is a much nicer marina than Cabo San Lucas. A really nice 73 ft sailboat was on the end tie next to us. The owners are Mexican nationals and live in Mexico City. The boat is a Nelson Marek design and looks like it would move through the water nicely. They were very gracious hosts and had us over for tequila (very good tequila!) and beer.

Lee barbecued some wonderful pork chops on Monday night and Bob Ray came over to join us. The aroma drifting over to So Inclined was too much to resist. Bob flew in on Sunday to join So Inclined and Manfred Olsen flew back home on Monday. You all need to ask him about his overnight stay at the airport.

We left this morning (Tuesday) for Los Frailes at 6:30a with So Inclined. The snorkeling is supposed to be pretty good there. The water temp is 82 degrees.
