Isla Isabella
05 December 2010
Sirocco and buddy boat So Inclined left the Mazatlan area last evening for a night passage to Isla Isabella. The trip was 85 miles and we arrived this morning shortly after 8:00am. We decided to make the passage at night in case the anchorage was full and we needed to move on to the next anchorage 50 miles away. It's interesting how one's perspective regarding distances changes when you are cruising. It's like saying, let's go to San Clemente Island and if that doesn't work out, okay, then let's head to Catalina Island. No big deal.
Fortunately no on else is here so we were able to stay. Everyone is napping right now. This will be the last night passage for a while which is just fine with me. Last night was very easy though. No wind, no seas, no traffic and no moon. But we had a beautiful starry night which gave us something to look at while on watch.
