Bahia Candeleras
08 May 2011 | Resort Villa de Palma Loreto

We left Puerto Escondido yesterday (Saturday) and headed south to Bahia Candeleras. We passed it by when we were going north and it looked like a nice small anchorage so we made sure we stopped this time. Only 4 boats in the anchorage. Friends of ours on Cirque, the boat that won our division in the Banderas Bay Regatta, invited us over for cocktails and we ended up staying until 9:00pm swapping race and other sailing stories. It was a very enjoyable evening. They are heading to Mazatlan to haul out for bottom paint and then will go to Paradise Village in Banderas Bay to park the boat for the summer.
Right now we are enjoing lunch and a good internet connection at a resort named Villa de Palma Loreto. The resort just opened in November and I would say has yet to be discovered. It is beautiful but is in the middle of nowhere. It is all timeshares. We will probably stay here another night and then go south 18 miles to Bahia Agua Verde. Hopefully Pacifico and our other boat buddies will meet up with us there. So Inclined headed there today.
