Visiting bird

7:00pm Monday, October 23 - we arrived at the Masonboro Inlet about 730 this morning, anchored, had a huge bacon, eggs, hash browns, and bagel breakfast.

Cape Hatteras

7:00am, Saturday, Oct 21 - We have just departed the Chesapeake Bay outside of Norfolk VA. There is no wind and the swells minimal, though we are rolling a bit. The rain should be done

22 January 2016 | Georgetown, SC
Rolf / RAIN :-(
We stopped in Georgetown during steady rain today, and got showers and some sitting around time. We discovered that the bow light bulb was burned out, so I wandered down he street to the next marina looking for bulbs where I met the staff at the Dry Docks. He didn't have the bulb, but wasn't busy at all, so he drove me to a few places in search of a bulb. No luck. Luckily I have a manual bow light we can use should it be necessary, but I also have a tricolor/anchor combination on the masthead, so we are in good shape. I should get some more D-Cell batteries for the back up light, however.

For anyone concerned about the "Big Storm" hitting the east coast, the picture with this post is of the storm just having passed us, we are the Blue Dot along the bottom of the picture. I'm glad we are this far south, however. The next few days are still up in the air, though we know that tomorrow our goal is Charleston still. Once we near Charleston we will pump out, get more fuel, and either sit tight for another night there, or head out in the evening for an overnight to St. Mary's River, just north of Jacksonville.
