Cape Town to St Helena

Day 5: 580 of the 1700 miles sailed. First 2 days were very light wind, then 1 day wind on the nose, then
calm, after that light trades started settling in. We're not running fast but very comfortably since we got the
trades back. We knew the wind would not allow us to make good progress the first 3 - 4 days, but the visa
was up and hey, it's not bad weather, just slow progress, we actually had to do some sailing like tack and
beat into the waves (horror).
Life on board is not as glamorous as usual, the water maker pump died on the second day of the trip
reducing us to our emergency drinking water and salt water showers unless we get any rain. Hope we can
fix this in St Helena with the spares we got on board, otherwise we got to live of jerry can water until we're
in Europe. With the 3000 mile run to the Azores where we cannot really predict the duration this would be
slightly sub ideal.
