Cabo
31 October 2012 | Cabo San Lucas

At sea, heading for Cabo. Flat seas, very little wind and motor-sailing around 5 knots. A pod of dolphins are at the bow playing dodge with the dolphin stricker. We have decided to pull into Cabo instead of San Jose as we are getting tired and Cabo is right around the corner.
We made port at around 12:00 midnight. We hailed the port security and they met us at the fuel dock and assigned us a slip just behind the fuel dock. Very easy. It cost $140 for two nights. We secured the boat and headed for the rack.
Cabo San Lucas
We arose to the hustle and bustle of a very busy port. It looked like the scene from Jaws where the whole town is heading out to get the shark. We spent the day wandering around town, eating lunch and watching people run about their business. We had to check in at the harbor master/marina office where we were able to get a weather forecast. The cruise ship came in and it was all gays (not that there is anything wrong with that). We met the guy on a powerboat next to us that lives in Mazatlan and he gave us some good info. We will contact him when we arrive there and he can help me get around.
Friday
Halloween.
We spent the day just sitting on the boat, showering in the marina facilities and watching people. We went out for a few beers to see the Halloween festivities. It was mostly small children in costumes asking the tourists for candy. Really strange. Too many people on the streets so we headed back to the boat.
