Just to let you know we're in Tahiti now and are renting a car for the next few days to explore and hopefully do some great hiking. There are some really high mountains here (over 6,000ft)! It is really exciting to have reached this point, another milestone of sorts. More later!

We still have the car so are flat out using it to explore this fantastic island. Yesterday we hiked to the summit of Mt Aora'i, 6,778 ft, Tahiti's 2nd highest peak. It was a "10", one of the absolute best we've ever done. I put up a few pictures but they don't do it justice. Today we're hiking to a waterfall, then have tickets to a Polynesian dance show since this is the month of the Heiva- a major celebration in French Poly. I heard they won't let you take pictures at the show but we'll see.
