TS Chantal was projected to bring to our area of Puerto Rico last night sustained winds 30-40 mph, gusts up to 60 mph. Tides two to three feet above normal, this is a big deal since we are in a marina. And, to keep it fun, up to 8" of rain and potential for flash floods. Wow!
We got everything batten down and snuggled in for the night. We did have a small problem with the zipper on the sail cover that required me climbing the mast and out onto the boom.
Luckily for us Chantal lost some of her punch before arriving here and she turned her path to track more west. We never saw winds above 24 mph, the tides were normal, and very little rain. We had some lightening and thunder though.
