Sleepy Sail
20 November 2009 | Isla Coronado to Puerto Escondido
Jodee
Nov 20th. We got up at 6:00 am and anchor was up at 6:30. I was a little grouchy with the little sleep last night. We sailed with the jib only all the way to Escondido. It was a lazy sail. The fishing lines were put out to no avail. Russ and I read the entire way. We were going to anchor off Loretto, however, there was a little swell running so we decided to go to Escondido instead. The anchor went down and we put the dingy over the side and the four of us and the dogs took a walk to the little store about two miles away to do a fresh perishable provisioning. We purchased so much that the owner Fernando gave us a ride back. We had a great Angus burger at the Portobello Restaurant that is here at the marina.
Mary and Dave had to take a crew member into Loretto to the bus station, so they offered to take Kathy and Steve with them if the anchoring in front of Loretto did not work. Kathy asked if I wanted to go in place of Steve. Well you know what I said. YES!!!.
