Over the last seven days we have been doing the usual everyday mundane stuff. Going to town to get the best taco you have ever had in your life and picking up a few grocery items. And of course I had to go to the bakery and pick up these little morsels. They are round in shape and are about an inch high. The outside ring is made out of this flakey pastry and inside center is like a flat cupcake with custard on top. They are the best. Rich on Third Day and I discovered that they had a new cookie. It is really good and comes real close to an American sugar cookie. And of course we can not forget the Pinomonos which are a sweet bread bun with pineapple in the center. They make everything on site in a brick oven. They use everything from pans to wood planks to bake on. The pastry produced here are top notch and sells out everyday. So you want to make sure you get to the bakery in the morning before noon. I never realized that the bees love the bakery until I went there. They like the frosted pastries best. They do fly around you but never land on you, they are more interested in the sweets.
Friday is the pork loin day. Every Friday you can buy a whole pork loin for about 48-60 pesos and after purchasing the loin we purchased double ground pork and made seasoned pork burgers and put the rest into spaghetti sauce. San Blas is very in expensive to live.
