Lightning Bolt Explosions

We have had another two days of rain. The second day the rain was off and on. It was time to make a grocery run and Russ needed a haircut. With haircuts costing a whopping 30 pesos (which is about $2.20) at Amy's it is hard to say no. Russ got his hair cut and upon leaving the rain started to come down lightly at first and then heavy. Now Lucy did not mind this but Taco does not like to get wet unless it is his idea and that is fare and few in between. So we decided to have lunch and we tried this taco restaurant by the plaza that people have said to be good. Inside the restaurant there is one table that seats three people and bar seating along one wall and outside undercover just before the sidewalk are three tables that seat two, two tables on one side of the entrance and one table on the other side. The door is like a garage door. I had one chicken and one beef taco and Russ had a burrito. It was not very good and we will not go back again.
While we were waiting for our food the rain got heavier and the wind came up and then there was lighting and a big explosive booms. After the first one I pick up Lucy and Russ picked up Taco and the second boom was lighting that hit about 100 yards across the square from us. Now that one was loud. I thought that a transformer had exploded. Russ said it was lighting that hit the lighting rods on top of the church. We waited for the rain to let up a little and walk across the plaza to the market place to get veggies and fruit. It was not very good and we will not go back again. We made it back to the boat intact and only a little wet thanks to the rain coats we were wearing. Since the dogs are already wet I put a little puppy shampoo on them and rinsed them. It is always good to have a clean smelling puppy.
