Friends Are Family

04 April 2010 | Singlar Marina, San Blas, Nayarit, MX
Jodee
For the last week I have been spending time with Leo and Cecile on Chat De Mer helping with his computer and just enjoying new friends. They came into San Blas about a month ago on their way south. That is when we met them and enjoyed a few days hanging with them. Now that they are headed north they came back to San Blas. We have enjoyed breakfast, lunch, dinner and even events in town or at the marina. We hate to see them leave. Although there is a happy ending or should I say another great beginning, and that is our good friends Rich, Lori, Jason, Amy on Third Day (who have become family) are back in town.

We are so excited to see them. They have lots of energy, which is what I need. I had received an e-mail from Rich telling us that they would be here on Saturday in time for the flea market.

Saturday morning at about 9:30 am there was a knock on the boat. We were still in bed since we both had a late night. Russ is not feeling well so he stayed home and slept most of the day. I jumped up, got dressed and headed to the flea market with Rich, Lori and the kids. We hit all the usual venders and headed to town. First stop was the taco stand. Then I took them over to the veterinary to check on shots for Cortez their cat. Now it was to the tortilla store. They headed to Amy's and I went to the market for a few more veggies. We met at Amy's and I bought a loaf of banana bread. We all walked back to the marina. I went to the boat to make the potato salad for the pot luck tonight and they headed back to their boat.

After the pot luck Cecile, Lorenzo, Kenzo on Plume and Lori, Amy on Third Day and I headed to town to see what was going on. Tonight was the last day of entertainment in celebration of Holly Week. There were two stages set up a short one and a real tall one. The tall stage had a band from Holland and the short stage had dancers. When the band played the dancers danced a traditional Holland dance. But when the band started to sing, we decided to leave. It was horrible.
With a short stop at Amy's we headed back to the marina. The band at the marina was still playing. They have been playing for the last three nights, and you know they were pretty good. Rich came in to pick up Lori and Amy which were waiting for him on Chat De Mer visiting with Leo and Cecile. A great night was had by all except for Russ.
