This past weekend was not a very good one. Russ had me worried. His color was not good; energy was non-existent, nausea, headache, extremely dizzy. After reading the side of effects of his three meds, all three meds have the same side effects. We think that is what his problem is, so much that we showed up at the doctor's office Tuesday morning without an appointment. After giving the doctor all the information and questioning the dosage of the meds due to the side effects, the doctor decided to make sure there was no bladder infection and there isn't. Russ asked about changing the dosage on one of the meds and she said no that she believed his symptoms were the process of the disease. We left the office. Since we are pretty much convinced that his feeling punk is due to the side effects we made an adjustment. We are documenting every symptom, time of symptom occurrence, blood pressure.
Yesterday July 7th Russ had so much energy that he got a lot of stuff done and by dinner time he was feeling punk again. He had hip pain, headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue. I gave him two, extra strength Tylenol and a heating pad and with in an hour he was pretty much back to normal except the pain in his hip. We now believe that his symptoms are from extreme pain. The only time he does not have pain is when sitting.
Today mom and I had to go to Roosevelt for a few items so I stopped by the doctor's office to find out if the x-ray results were back. Well what I found out is that his right hip is trashed and a hip replacement is eminent. Now they will not do the hip replacement until they get the results from the lymph node biopsy and make sure the kidney function is stable. So for now he will live on extra strength Tylenol. The lymph node biopsy is to check for sarcoidosis.
Meanwhile in Roosevelt I ran over to the DMV to get an application for handicap tag. Since Russ can not walk far, now it is best to not walk much.
