Sept 28th we took another couple hour road trip to the twin pinnacles. This trip took us from the highway to a wildlife viewing point to the Camelot Resort and more. Once we left the highway we were going down between two mountains. If it were a wave we would call it a trough. The pinnacles were amazing. There were these columns of rock towering high into the sky. The river run along side of the road and took almost every turn the road did. At the bottom between these mountains were flat meadows, fields, and cattle pastures. We came across a sign that said Camelot Resort & Campground or something along those lines. Of course my mom and dad knew this was here. It was a real cute place. They had three little cabins and a grassy area to play lawn games and a basket ball hoop, tire swing, little general store. They also had a pavilion for a group setting. On the other side of the little river there were camp ground for trailer or camping complete with electric and also a playground with swings. This is a real nice area. We left this area and kept driving finding cute log cabins and even old log cabins that were abandoned. There was what looked like man made storage ports. Someone had cut a door shape in the side of the mountain that went back about ten feet. We even saw a brand new log cabin that was for sale. The road back to the freeway was all switch backs and about a 7+ grade up hill. This was an interesting ride. Can't wait for the next one.
