Our Sea Era

What a nice surprise to see our friends Tom and Mary on s/v Someday Isle from San Diego .They went on the 2007 Baja Ha Ha with us. We haven't seen them since Cabo San Lucas in November of 2007. They just happened to be in La Cruz for one day and heard us on the VHF so they dinghyed in and said hi. They were heading out the next day so we only chatted for a little while and promised that when we get back to San Diego we will have a bottle of wine together and catch up on each other's experiences over the last 2 to 3 years.

The pic is of them leaving and emptying some water out of their dinghy with the their dog's bowl. Such are the daily events of cruising.

Extra:	We chose the title "Our Sea Era" for two reasons. The first one is that over the next several years we will be living our lives on the sea. It will be an exciting time, we will be sailing down the coast of Mexico and Central America, through the Panama Canal and throughout the West Indies in the [...] Caribbean and stay where ever we want and for as long as we are enjoying it, then sail on to the next destination, wherever that may be (South Pacific, Australia??). The second reason is that it is the name of our beautiful grand daughter Cierra (phonetically the same that is). She was born on August 18, 2005 and we will especially miss her very much while we are away. More
