Stow away/In search of boobies
07 December 2010 | 21 38.0'N:105 31.6'W, On our way to Matanchen Bay/San Blas
Well the mystery of the missing bananas was solved yesterday. We found a stow away. A Sea monkey-- the OY "C" monkey to be exact. See the www.sailblogs/members/pacifico for the previous advantures of the C monkey. He was upsety that Mark headed home and left him behind. To make a long story short he was upset and jumped ship from Pacifico to So Inclined when he heard we were on our way to Isla Isabela and there were lots of boobies there. When we arrived we found him hidden in our fruit and vegetable net with our missing bananas (see our photo log later for the photo evidence).
Unfortunately he misunderstood that the "boobies" at Isla Isabela were the gold and blue footed type. The island is amazing. Besidees the boobies (althoug Bob and I still prefer the human type) there are frigates, sea gulls, iguanas, crabs, hermit drabs, all types of fish and an amazing sighting of whales jumping completely out of the ocean! This is an amazing place--somewhat a cross between juarisic park, lost, and survivior. We had a great day yesterday exploting the island, including the crater lake, snorkeling, watching the fisherman, and just havimg a great time.
We are on our way to Matachen Bay. Having a calm sail/motor sail. We will likely be there for a couple nighs and then head down to maybe Chacala Bay on our way to PV to meet up with my daughter and her boy frend for the holidays. At least that's the rough plan.
