We have been (well I have been) talking about taking Sojourn back to the Bahamas since we returned in 2010. Within a week (+/- a day or two) we will point our CS36T south and cross to Oswego to begin our journey through the US and the Bahamas for 9 months.
We have established this post to keep family and friends abreast of our trip and to relate what we encounter as we sojourn (a temporary stay) in towns and ports along the way. Last time we met so many incredible people, each with their own story and reason for taking this trip. Retired couples who had waited and dreamed so long, seasoned sailors who repeat the trip annually and even a young couple on maternity leave for one year.
Something great about cruising. There is no differentiation among types of boaters - big, small, power, sail, old boats, new boats, expensive boats, project boats - each one gave when help was needed and shared whatever knowledge, tools and supplies they had - often without being asked.
We hope you enjoy our adventure as much as we do.
