Picture - Not a place for our boat today.
We took a drive down to St Pierre and met with Rob and Josien from Inish. We discussed plans for our next stop in Madagascar, as we will be leaving Reunion around the same time. It was a wet and windy day and it gave us a chance to look at the entrance to the St Pierre Marina. It is the other marina on the island that we could of gone to but chose not to. One if the reasons is the entrance is subject to breaking waves when the swell is up. Today it was possible to surf the waves as they broke across the entrance of the marina. We were glad we didn’t come here, even though the marina is situated in the middle of the town. The boats are stuck there till the sea conditions lessen.
